AVAILABLE POSITIONS

TREE CLIMBER and TREE TRIMMER

We are looking to fill two roles with Pro Tree Services for a Trimmer and Climber. While we are starting on a part-time basis, we would like to see these roles move to full-time employment. Although responsibilities vary for these roles, the summary looks like this:

 

General List of Duties:

  • Provide tree trimming and hedge pruning services 

  • Responsible for climbing, pruning, and removing trees 

  • Abide by safe work practices 

  • Make some inspections of customer properties 

  • Coordinate with the team and provide leadership to grounds person

 

Requirements:

  • Ability to use chainsaw, pruners, shears, and other equipment 

  • Chipper operations experience 

  • 1-year min. climbing, pruning experience 

  • Your own transportation to job sites 

  • Customer service and good communication skills 

  • Must pass substance testing

 

Must Haves:

  • Vehicle (boom truck) and equipment (chipper and trimming) maintenance skills 

  • Must own: Slash pants, work boots, hard hat, and safety glasses 

  • A valid driver’s license 

  • Leadership and oversight skills

 

Nice to Haves:

  • Experience operating a boom truck

  • Tree and shrub identification skills

GROUNDS PERSON

We are seeking a hardworking and fit person for chipping and lifting heavy tree branches, working under the direction of our Tree Trimmer. As a person on the ground you will support trimming operations and will be helping with equipment and debris removal and assisting with work site set up.

 

If you have chainsaw experience and a valid driver’s license we invite you to contact us. You will need your own steel-toed safety boots, hard hat, and safety glasses. In addition, you will need to be able to use your own transportation to get to and from the work sites and/or to our Surrey launch site.

 

If you are motivated and keen to learn about trees and their care, this is a great opportunity. We are offering part-time work with the possibility of extending to full-time.
